Petite Maison, a small house on Belval Campus (+- 100 m2) will serve, above all, as a living and meeting point engaged into a network with other participants. The project centers on designing, building and deconstructing a small house by adopting a circular approach. It will work with salvaged, second-hand, recycled materials or with renewable and raw materials and/or materials with a high potential for reuse as far as possible with.
Designed by young architects and engineers at the University of Luxembourg in cooperation with a number of local and international partners, the house will be dismantled before the end of the year 2022. It will be deconstructed and the parts moved with a view to reuse, or even reassembled in whole or in part. The project process will be documented and the results disseminated. Beyond the history of the materials, the project will also serve to tell the story of the ideas and projects involved, in order to reinforce the theme of a resilient architectural culture and circularity in the broadest sense.
